Your Hotel is situated in the small fishing port of Calpe. Calpe is dominated by itīs local mountain, the Peņon de Ifach, (the Rock of Ifach), which is 1080 feet high and is joined to the mainland by a narrow strip of land. Calpe boasts two lengthy stretches of fine sandy beach together with a number of small coves, three superb promenades, an interesting harbour and fish market. It has a fascinating old town with many steps and a warren of narrow streets, several museums and a large salt lake, where flamingos are usually to be seen. Calpe was also the site of a Roman settlement and has a significant number of ruins, including a circular palace, a fish farm and a hypercaust. The major ruins are currently being excavated. Add to all these attractions the many shops, restaurants and bars, and there is something of interest for most visitors to discover. The hotel is near the picturesque Calaga Cove and lies only a short walk from the sandy stretches of the Levante Beach and the harbour and town of Calpe.
